- Your username is your full email address (including everything after the ‘@” sign).
- If you can’t find some of your folders, then click on ‘Personal Settings’, select the ‘Folders’ tab and make sure there is a tick next to the folders you are looking for.
- If your ‘Sent’ folder is empty, click ‘Personal Settings’, select ‘Special Folders’ on the left and check that the correct folder is selected next to the ‘Sent’ option.

- Enter your full name or the name, when you send them email from this account.
- Click Next.

How to Setup John Lewis Broadband on an iPhone ?
- First, open your main menu screen and select the settings icon.
- Then select the Mail, Contacts, Calendars menu (General, Contacts, Calendar, Phone etc..).
- Tap Add Account.
- Tap Other option when presented with a list of email providers (google, Yahoo!, AOL, Outlook.com, mobile me, Other..).
- Click Add Mail Account.
- You will then be asked to enter your name, email address, password and name (description – which is the default on the email address) for your email account.

Setup John Lewis Broadband Mail on Mozilla Thunderbird
- If this is the first time you’ve opened Mozilla Thunderbird, the Mail Account Setup window will appear automatically.
- OR Go to File on the top bar and select Mail Account.
- Fill in your name, email address and password:
– Your Name: enter your full name, when you send them email from this account
– Email Address: enter the John Lewis Broadband email address you’re setting up
– Password: choose the password - Click Continue.
- Thunderbird will try and find your mail settings, this will not work so you will need to enter them manually:
– Username: Enter the username and password for the email address
– Incoming: Enter mail.johnlewisbroadband.com or imap.johnlewisbroadband.com, if you want to setup an IMAP server account
– Outgoing server: Enter relay.johnlewisbroadband.com, if you’ve set up a John Lewis Broadband email account before you’ll be able to choose it from the dropdown list - Click Re-test Configuration.
- Thunderbird will take a minute to check the settings you entered.
- Click the Create Account button.
- You’ll see a warning screen like the one below, unfortunately mail servers don’t support encryption so to continue you’ll need to tick ‘I understand’ the risks and click Create Account.
- Click on tools on the top bar and tap Account Settings.
- Select Outgoing Server (SMTP) on the left side menu, tap Default SMTP Account (relay.johnlewisbroadband.com).
- The Server Name should be relay.johnlewisbroadband.com.
- And the Port should be 25.
- You can sure Connection Security is set to None.
- Change the authentication method to an authentication, this username will gray the box so you cannot edit it.
- Click OK once you’ve finished entering these details.
- That’s everything you need to do, click OK again to finish.
- Click Get Mail and your email will be downloaded to your Inbox.
Configure John Lewis Broadband Mail on Outlook Express
- If this is the first time you’ve opened Outlook Express, the Internet Connection Wizard will appear automatically.
- OR go to Tools in the top bar and tap Accounts.
- Click Add, then Mail, this will launch the Internet Connection Wizard.
