Student & Alumni webmail
- First Open this webpage link email.itd.uts.edu.au.
- Enter your Username ‘utsID@student.uts.edu.au’ in the field.
- Your email address does not have a first and last name.
- Enter your normal UTS password in the field.
- And click on the login button.
Staff webmail
- First Open this webpage link.
- Enter your Username ‘Your UTS email address’ in the field.
- Enter your normal UTS password in the field.
- And click on the login button.
To do this you can call IT support by dialling 9514 2222 (when off campus) or 2222 (when on campus) or report online using ServiceConnect.
Forgot or Reset UTS webmail password

Forgotten password
- First Go to Password Reset link (opens the password reset facility).
- Enter your Student Identification (Student ID) number in the field.
- Issue the required personal details.
- Enter your date of birth using for example format: DD/mm/YY (any other date format will be an error).
- Answer your security question (these are the questions you originally set).
- Enter in a new password.
Reset UTS webmail password
Reset your password by entering your details into the UTS Student/Alumni Password Reset facility (opens UTS student/Alumni password reset facility).
- First Open this webpage link email.itd.uts.edu.au/passwordreset.
- Enter Your Staff Number or Student ID in the field.
- And issue Your Given Name.
- Enter Your Family Name in the field.
- And enter Your Date of Birth (dd/mm/yy).
- Then click on the ‘Continue’ button.
If you have previously chosen your security questions and answers, you will be prompted to answer them to reset your password.
University of Technology Sydney Email Server Settings
If you have just joined UTS email you will have been assigned a student or staff ID number. This number can be used to log in to the UTS-WPA wireless network and the eduroam network while logging in to other educational institutions around the world.

Technical and Login hardship
- If you can’t access My Student Admin.
- You are able to access other web pages, but not the My Student Admin webpage, please contact ITD Support Centre.
- If you can’t login into My Student Admin.
- My student admin requires that you first activate your UTS webmail account in order to enter.
- If you have already activated your webmail account, but cannot log in to My Student Admin, please contact the ITD Support Center.

- Click on the next button.
- Choose Microsoft Exchange under ‘Add Account’ option.
– Email: Enter your UTS email, firstname.lastname@student.uts.edu.au.
– Domain: Leave blank.
– Username: Enter your id number, something like 124578.
– Password: Select the whatever password you use to login to UTSonline, webmail and everywhere else.
– Description: Any text description. - Once you click ‘Next’ it will try to verify your account and a new field named ‘Server’ will appear.
– Server: Enter your server name mail.uts.edu.au. - Click on the next button.
- Enter your personal information details your account and email address the iPhone screen.
- Click OK and Finish button.
How to Add UTS university email account to Gmail ?
If you want to access your university emails using Gmail, then you can add your university account to Gmail by following:
- Open the Gmail application.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- To make sure you’re using the latest version of Gmail, you need:
– Open the Google Play Store app on your phone or tablet.
– Type ‘Gmail’ in the search bar and select Update. - Go to Settings.
- Tap the menu icon in the upper left corner and select Settings.
- Click on the Add account option.
- Add an account and then tap Exchange and Microsoft 365.
- Select the email provider.
- Choose the type of account you want to add (the email provider for your university account is Exchange and Office 365).
- Select ‘Outlook, Hotmail and Live’ unless you only want to sync email and not calendar / contacts.
- Enter your university email address and password.
- You must enter your university email address and tap Next.
- After this, enter your password and tap Next.
- Set up your account on the UTS mail and you may see a Redirect request screen.
- Tap OK.
How to Forward mail on UTS Students Email (webmail) ?
- First login UTS email (webmail).
– Go to this weblink email.itd.uts.edu.au.
– Click UTS webmail. - You are the login to webmail contuinue and enter your information following.
– Username: enter username (student number).
– Password: choose your password (UTS Online password). - Click on ‘Log in’ button and choose ‘Australia’ and ‘Sydney’ they for your tome zone and location.
- Forwarding your UTS email to your personal account.
– Then you login to UTS webmail, then click the Setting button and search for ‘Forwarding’ option.
– Type in your private email in the ‘Forward my email’ box.
– Tap the option ‘Keep a copy of the forwarded message’. - Then click on the ‘Save’ icon.
Archive Export Online Subject on UTS email
UTS online subject sites are not recycled so if you want to retain retain access to content from the previous session, you will not need to archive your UTS line online subject.
To archive a copy of your UTS Online subject look under your subject’s Control Panel for Packages and Utilities and then Export/Archive Subject.
Archive and Export Options
- From within the Export / Archive area you have two options to back up your UTS online subject.
- Exporting a subject package will include the subjects Content and Settings.
- And tools, but does not include user records and interactions.
- The Export Package option is best for archiving your subject’s content.
- If you want to save user records, you should choose the archive subject best.
- After your UTS Online subject has been exported you will be emailed at your UTS staff email account to information you that the export file (.zip) is ready to download.
- You can find your exported subject under your subject’s Control Panel for Packages and Utilities.
