Utoronto webmail login
To login to Utoronto webmail you need to enter the username and password of the University of Toronto, so you can follow the steps below to login to Utor Mail.
- First Open a your web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, any etc).
- And go to this weblink link weblogin.utoronto.ca.
- You will be taken to the Weblogin page.
- Enter your UTORid and your password in the field.
- Click on the ‘Log in’ button.
- They prompted to perform maintenance after either perform or skip the maintenance it will take you to your Utoronto webmail inboxes.
Alert: Completely exit your web browser when you are finished this webmail login.
Forgot or Reset Utoronto webmail Password
Once you have set up your options for the password to forgotten, you may use it any time you have forgotten your password if you chose either the SMS text message or alternate email address option. Then if you select In-Person Only you will need to visit a Help Desk option.
- First Go to UTORid Management and select reset your forgotten password under Password and Account Management.
- Enter your Utor Mail username and password in the field.
- Click Next button.
- If you select the Alternate Email Address option, the next screen will ask for a Secure Code, which has been sent to alternate email address, this message is valid for 15 minutes.
- Enter that code in the appropriate field and click Next button.
- They email not see the messages in your Inbox, check your Spam or Junk folders and mark the message as not spam to prevent it from going folder in the future.
- You press the SMS Mobile Phone option, the next screen will ask for the last 4 digits of your cell phone you provided when setting up for this service account.

- Then receive a text message with a secure code on your mobile or phone.
- Enter that code in the appropriate screen and click Next button.
- The next screen option you to create a new password in the field.

- If there are no errors, you will see a confirmation that your password has been changed.
- Exit completely from the browser once you are finished.
Set Password Reset / Account Management on Utor Mail
- First Go to UTORid Management and select set up your password reset / account management options under Password and Account Management.
- Enter your Utoronto webmail username and password.
- Under Password Reset & Account Management in the fields for the requested info.
- To use In-Person Only Help you do not need to fill in any of the fields.
- Select your preferred method.
- If you choose In-Person Only (Help Desk), you will only be able to reset your password by visiting a Help Desk in person with a valid ID.

- Then see a Password Reset Confirmation window on your device.
- Review the instructions and click Confirm.

Change Utoronto Password Reset Too

How to Create Utoronto Email Account ?
Your UTORid and password provide you with online services such as email, ACORN, portal, library services, campus wireless network have received in previous communications.
Activate UTORid account
- First Go to www.utorid.utoronto.ca link and follow the First Time Users ‘activate your UTORid’ link.
- Enter your JOINid + Secret Activation Key.
- Set up your UTmail+ email address.
- Set up your Utoronto webmail password reset and account management options.
- Once you activate your UTORid and set up your email, all future emails will be sent to your Utmail email address.
New Students
You must use a secret activation key to activate your UTORid. This Secret Activation Key was sent to you by email during your identity verification appointment with a TCard staff member, or it was provided to you by another authorized U of T staff member.
New Faculty and Staff
Your UTORid and secret activation key can be found on the letter provided to you by Human Resources.
Create a UTORid
Students, faculty and staff use UTORid activation to activate their UTORid.
Others use this form to create a Utoronto webmail. You will need a valid student photo-ID card or a library photo-ID card.

- You now updated TCard or Library card, and you may have to wait one day before can get Utoronto ID.
- You wish to create a Shared Mailbox, then go to Create a Shared Mailbox your device.
- The Library Number is the number listed on TCard or Library card.

Information about the UTORid
- The email address is coming from a Utoronto email address.
- The subject line will be “Activate your University of Toronto”.
- If your JOINid has back working AND they not received this email account, check your junk or promotions folder option.
- The email accounts a “SAK”, then Secret Activation Key, and a link to activate your Utoronto email address.
- First you receive this email address and they access with your JOINid will no longer workings.

The following information can help you configure your mobile device for UTORmail. For other devices you will need to enter the following information into your device as required and get the server settings information:

How to Setup Utoronto Email on iOS Devices ?
- First click on the Settings on the home screen button (Text, Calendar, Photos, Camera, You tube, Maps Notes, Settings option etc).
- Then scroll down and tap Mail option (Sounds, Brightness, Wallpaper, General, Mail, Phone, Safari, iPod, Photos etc).
- Click on Add Account option.
- Select Other (Mail, Gmail, .Mac, AOL, Other option, last option).
- Tap IMAP server settings option (name, address, description, Host name, User name, Password).
- Fill out the information details fields as follows:
– Email Address: Enter your @utoronto.ca email address - Incoming mail server settings complete fill information details below:
– Host Name: mailboxN.utcc.utoronto.ca (where N is replaced with your UTORmail configuration number)

Setup Utoronto Email account on Outlook 2013 or 2016
- First Start your Outlook on your device.
- If this is your first time using Outlook, you will be taken through the Setup Wizard.
- Click on Next button.
- If this is not your first time using Outlook, go to the File tab and click Add Account under Account Information.
- Select Manual setup and click on Next button.
- Select POP server or IMAP server as the service type.
- And tap on Next button.
- Enter your User Information.
- Take note of the Server Information.
- Choose IMAP as the Account Type.
- Enter mailboxNN.utcc.utoronto.ca as the Incoming mail server where NN is your configuration number, and smtp.utoronto.ca as the Outgoing mail server.
- Then click on More Settings option.
- Under the Outgoing Server tab, check My outgoing server requires authentication and Use same settings as my incoming mail server settings.
- Under the Advanced tab, in sure the Incoming server is 143 and the encryption type is set to TLS.
- For the Outgoing server set the encryption type to TLS and change the port number to 587.
- And click on OK button.
- If you see this Internet Security Warning, then click on the YES button.
- Then click on Next button.
- You should see a Test Account Settings window appear and if successful you can click Close to continue button.
- Click on the Finish option.
- Finished, Now you can use Utoronto email account on the Outlook 2013 or 2016.
How to Setup Utoronto webmail on Outlook 2016 (Mac) ?
- First Go to Tools > Accounts, then click the + sign and choose Other Email.
- Enter the following in the appropriate fields:
– Email address: Enter your email address
– Password: Choose your UTORid password
– User name: Enter your UTORid
– Server Type: Choose IMAP
– Incoming server settings: mailbox.utcc.utoronto.ca
– Override default port: enter 993
– Use SSL: Choose connect
– Outgoing server settings type: smtp.utoronto.ca.
– Override default port: Type 587
– Use SSL: Select connect - Then Click on Add Account option.
Setup and Configure UTORmail account for Mac Mail 9
- Click the Mail option in double-click the Mail icon in your Applications folder.
- If you do not have an existing email account, you will see a welcome screen.
- If there is an email account already set up, click Mail, then go to the Preferences option.
- Select the Accounts option in the window that appears.
- Then click on the + icon located at the bottom left corner.
- Choose Other Mail Account, then click on the Continue button.
- Enter your Name, Email Address and Password in the field.
- Click on the Sign In button.
- You will see the Add a Mail Account window with the message it was unable to verify your account, and click on more settings options.
- Enter your UTORid in the User Name field.
- Select IMAP server settings as Account Type information details:

- Choose the apps you want to use with this account and click on the Done button.
- Then close the Accounts window.

- This may take a while to finish button.
Setup and Configure Utoronto email account for iPhone
- First you set up your mobile device to access UTmail +, then check your UTORid.
- Then Go to this webpage link and click on verify under Problems with your UTORid.
- Log in with your UTORid and password in the field.
- You should see a message saying “Check your UTORid and password and it should work”.
- From the Home screen, choose Settings, then Passwords & Accounts, then Add Account option.
- Click on the Exchange option near the top of the list.
- During the setup screens, you fill in the following information.
- Tap Next button to navigate through the screens below your information details.
– Email address: Enter Email (usually of the form “username@mail.utoronto.ca”)
– Password: Choose your UTORid password
– Description: UTmail+
– Server: outlook.office365.com
– Domain: Leave blank
– Username: this is the same as your email address and is usually of the form “username@mail.utoronto.ca” - Once the iPhone has confirmed connectivity to the Exchange server, it will ask you what types of folders to synchronize.
- By default Email, Contacts, and Calendars are selected.

How to Setup Utoronto Email account on Mozilla Thunderbird ?
- If you are using Thunderbird for the first time, you will see the Import Wizard window.
- Choose Skip this and use my existing email.
- You should then select the Mail Account Setup window.
- If you do not, you can go to File> New> Existing Mail Account and add a new account.
- Type your full name under Your name.
- Click on the Continue button.
- Enter your email address under Email address in the field.
- Then click on Continue option.
- Thunderbird will collect the information and some default settings will be displayed.

Setup and Configure Utoronto email for Windows 10 Mail
You log in to a UTmail + account through a web browser, your login is the University of Toronto email account on Windows 10 Mail. Any means of accessing the UTmail + service, except through a web browser, will protect your UTORid and password through Microsoft’s systems.
- First From the Start menu, then choose the Mail application.
- Click on the Add account.
- If you already have an account set up in Mail, then click the settings icon and click Accounts, then Add account option.
- In the Choose an account screen, scroll to the very bottom and click Advanced setup.
- Select Exchange ActiveSync.
- Enter your personal complete information details below:
– Your email address: Enter of the form “username@mail.utoronto.ca
– Password: Choose your UTORid password
– User name: Enter your username is the same as your email address
– Server: outlook.office365.com - Give the account a name.
- Click on the Sign in button.
- On the security screen click Enforce these policies.
- In the next screen, then click on Done option.
- Your mail will begin syncing and appear in the application.
How to Setup and Configure Utoronto Email on Android ?
- Go to the Android home screen and open the Email or Gmail app (these setups vary depending on the model and version).
- If you already have other email accounts in this app, go to Menu from the top 3 line and Tap settings.
- Click Add Account option.
- Tab Other into Setup email section.
- Enter your Utoronto email address then click Manual Setup button.
- Choose the IMAP server account.
- Enter the following details on incoming server settings details below.
– Username: Enter your email address is your username
– Password: Choose your account password
– IMAP server: mailboxNNN.utcc.utoronto.ca
– Security type: SSL (in sure SSL encryption is enabled for the incoming mail server)
– Port: 993 - Click on Next Button.
- Enter the following details on outgoing server settings details below.
– SMTP server: smtp.utoronto.ca
– Port: 587
– Security type: SSL (in sure SSL encryption is enabled for the outgoing mail server) - Click on Next Button.
- Select Email check frequency (preferably every 15 minutes).
- Give your account name and click on the Done button.
- Finished, Now you can send and receive Utor Mail on your Android device.
Export and Import Contacts from Utoronto or Utor Mail
- First visit In login webmail, then click Address Book.
- Click on Import/Export option.
- Then webmail In the Export Address Book section, change the export format to Comma separated values (Microsoft Outlook), and click on the Export option.
- A window may appear asking what you would like to do with the file.
- And press on Save File.
- Your UTORmail contacts will now be exported to your download location.
- They are saved in .csv format.
Outlook for Windows
If you have contacts or contact lists in the account stored on your local computer, they will not be able to migrate to UTmail + properly.
You should export these contacts to a text or CSV file to avoid any potential problems and then report them after migration.
- Click on File > Open & Export > Import/Export option.
- Select Export to File, and then proceed.
- Select your Comma Separated Values, and click on the Next button.
- And choose the contacts you wish to export and then click on the Next button.
- Select a location and name for your backup file, and then click on the Finish button.
Outlook 2016 for Mac
Contact lists will not be transferred to your new UTmail + account, so export them from UTORXchange or UTORMail to save them and then import them into your Utoronto webmail.
- Open Outlook and go to File > Export.
- Under Items of these types, select Contacts.
- And click on the Continue button.
- Select a location to save the file to, then save.
- Once it’s done, click Finish button.
Mozila Thunderbird
- First Open your mozila Thunderbird and choose Address Book.
- And webmail In the Address Book window, select Tools, then press Export button.
- Enter the file name and select Save as a comma (UTF-8) and then Save.
- Do the same for all the address books you have (if you have multiple addresses).
- Open Excel or another workbook and double-click on this PC.
- Replace all your Excel files in an open window.
- Select the file you previous exported.
- The file should open as a spreadsheet.
- Look for the following column headers in the first row of the spreadsheet and change the respective column headers to:
– Display Name to Display As
– Primary Email to Email
– Secondary Email to Email 2
– Work Phone to Business Phone
– Address to Business Street
– City to Business City
– State to Business State/Province

- Click Save. You will be asked to Confirm Save As.
- Click on Yes option.
- You will get a pop-up saying that if you save it as CSV and ask if you want to keep some features in your workbook will be lost using that format.
- Then click Yes option.
Import Contacts into OWA
- Log into mail.utoronto.ca and go to People view.
- Click Manage and choose Import contacts.
- Choose Outlook 2010, 2013 or 2016, click on Browse to find your CSV file.
- Then click Open.
- Click \Upload\ and you will see a process indicator.
- You will see a window indicating the process is done.
- Click on the Finish button.
Import Contacts to Outlook Web Access
If you export Utoronto webmail contacts to a CSV file, modify the contacts file as it will put the first, middle, and last names of each contact into one field called Name.
Names in that field need to be manually divided into field name, middle name, and last name fields so that they can be properly imported into UTmail+. Unfortunately there is no automated process that can do this as some names have multiple first, middle, and last parts.
- Open the file in Microsoft Excel.
- Change the first heading from name to first name.
- Enter two commas to the right of the first name.
- Enter a new commas heading middle name and last name.
- For each name in the First Name (formerly name) field, split the name across each of the three name fields manually.
- Save the file.
Import into UTmail+
- Log into UTmail+ and go to People view.
- Click Manage and choose Import contacts.
- Tap on Browse to locate your CSV file, then click Open.
- Click Import and you will see a window indicating the process is done and how many contacts were imported.
- Click Close.
- Your contacts will now be available to you.
